If you enjoy reading Wuxia, Xianxia, Xuanhuan, and Romance in English without cringing, then you've come to the right place! All translation is done exclusively by me, a human editor.
Many Chinese novels are published online and translated using AI technology, leading to a lack of human proofreading and editing. As a result, these translations frequently contain typos, grammatical errors, mixed-up nouns, the same character with different names, repeated words, sentences, and expressions, and inconsistencies. The list goes on and on. This creates a frustrating reading experience, making it difficult for readers to grasp the text's intended meaning. Consequently, many readers abandon the novel altogether.
As someone who enjoys rereading several times my favorite novels, I have decided to copyedit, proofread, and enhance the English versions of these stories. at first it was basic corrections, then I quickly realize it was not enough and started to revise content, chapters, titles, and occasionally rearrange paragraphs to clarify the story. Each language contains subtle differences, slang, double meanings, contextual nuances, and cultural references. Translating a complex language like Chinese into English requires thorough research. Relying on AI translation requires patience, a good understanding of the story, and an ability to grasp the meaning behind each word. I aimed to stay as accurate as possible to the original, but sometimes compromises were necessary, or parts didn't make sense. My edits are not a literal word-for-word translation.
I have a strong interest in Chinese culture and folklore, but I also enjoy reading South Korean novels from time to time. My reading preferences include Reverse Harem, Danmei/BL, and traditional monogamous romances. To provide additional context, I include footnotes as needed and create character lists to enhance understanding.
On the left sidebar and in the top menu, you will find pages dedicated to Chinese cultural references that are useful for any novel. In the Companion section of each novel, I’ve added pages linked directly to the novel whenever I believe that extra information could enrich the reading experience.
This blog was created in September 2025, so I ask of your patience as I continue to add content. I have several chapters already edited and some in process, and I will post them gradually, updating few chapters of each novel at the time. You can check the UPDATES' on the top menu. I created this blog alongside my professional and personal life, so I sincerely appreciate your understanding if the novel you like to read is still in process. I will strive to complete every novel. I also feel frustrated when encountering an incomplete novel.
