"This story is set in a fictional world, I repeat, a fictional world. If you come across any historical elements that seem familiar, please refrain from drawing direct parallels, as I cannot guarantee what might unfold later. The reason for choosing a fictional setting is to avoid conflicts with history enthusiasts. That said, the background is merely a framework and has little bearing on the main plot.

Due to past unpleasant experiences, I want to clarify upfront—just as a mystery novel would never reveal the killer beforehand, my story will not announce who the male lead is in advance. If you cannot accept this or fear backing the wrong character, please reconsider reading. However, in the truest sense, the protagonist of this story is the female lead; all other characters merely appear in her comedic journey through life.

The story has a happy ending (HE).

The pacing is slow, so feel free to let it simmer before diving in."

 The (Chinese) author acknowledges that she has taken many liberties in her fictional novel and based on the author’s note in chapter 184 (last page), 'Love Like the Galaxy' was inspired on the Han Dynasty. of the reign of Emperor Guangwu of Han (5 BC-57 AD) 

Reading this emperor's biography is really fascinating. Indeed, the author took many liberties, but we can clearly see the inspiration, especially in the Emperor's personality, historical events, and even his marital life.

While fiction, reality, inspiration, and historical events are all distinct, many readers often struggle to see the differences between them. Comparisons are inevitable, and inconsistencies can arise. History purists may want to avoid novels of this nature, including this one. Below, I have included key information that will enhance your enjoyment of the novel. ~FD

 

 

Chapters: 

The author does not maintain consistent chapter lengths; some chapters are short, while others are much longer. I chose to keep the chapters as they are to preserve the narrative flow. Although the author did not provide chapter titles or separate volumes, she mentioned the volumes in her footnotes, so I have added titles myself and separated the volumes accordingly. Please refrain from comparing this work to others, as they tend to differ significantly.

Characters:

Some stories have many characters, like 'Love like the Galaxy,' but the author did not provide a list. I have created one. I will include footnotes for each important character in every chapter, and you can also see the full character list in the Companion tab. 

Footnotes:

I have added several footnotes to specific chapters in the book. While I understand that footnotes can sometimes disrupt the flow of reading, I believe that including explanations within the relevant sections enhances the reader's understanding of the story, especially concerning Chinese references, language, and culture. I have categorized my footnotes into two types: 1) those related to the story and 2) those providing brief explanations. I noticed that many Chinese novels relate to these references, so I have organized them under the 'Ancient China' tab in the top menu.
