Below is a list of the novel's main, secondary, and memorable characters. The novel features hundreds of characters, so it is impossible to list them all. Main Characters: 

Chu Qiao, age 26, is a super-agent born in the present day in the People’s Republic of China, and died during a mission. She transmigrated to the body of a 7-year-old in the Xia Empire 300 years earlier, Jing Yue Er (6th sister of the Jing family). She is also named AhChu by Yan Xun and Xing Er by Zhuge Yue. She was a slave for two years in the Zhuge household. Then she joined Yan Xun, remained by his side for eight years, and followed him in Yan Bei. Yan Xun betrayed her trust and love, and she escaped to the Tang empire. Finally, she fell deeply in love with Zhuge Yue.

Yan Xun, Prince of Yan Bei, heir of the Yan Bei King, was 13 years old in the year 770, 5 years older than Chu Qiao. Prince and future emperor of Yan Bei. He was raised in the Xia Empire when he was a young teen and was kept as a hostage. He saved Chu Qiao during the hunt and multiple times afterward, earning her trust. The Xia emperor killed his family and kept him under house arrest for eight years. At 23, he rebelled and became the new emperor of Yan Bei. His hate and ambitions to destroy the Xia empire became his obsession. Chu Qiao was in his way of conquest because she wanted peace and equality for all, while he wished for destruction regardless of how many people died. He never recovered from the loss of Chu Qiao, who was the love of his life.

Zhuge Yue, or Fourth Young Master: age 13 in the year 770. 5 years older than Chu Prince. He is a young master raised in an era that did not care about slaves and killed many slaves, including the Jing family, where she incarnated one of the children. He was Chu Qiao's master for two years until she was 10, and she became a very important figure in his life. When she decided to join Yan Xun, he was 23, and his personality had changed drastically during the eight years they had been separated. He went to war, broke the golden bubble he had been raised in, and came to understand equality and injustice. A genius strategist and powerful figure, he became Huang Army's Major General. Later, he rebelled against the Xia Empire and the Zhuge family, becoming king of the barbarians to the north and founding a kingdom free of slavery. He also saved Chu Qiao multiple times, taking many dangerous risks to save her life. It took many years before they both admitted their love and more years to marry and have children finally. Once they both became young adults, he fell in love with her, and she became the love of his life.

Zhao Zhengde				Emperor of the Xia empire.
Muhe Nayun				Empress of the Xia empire. Mother of Muhe Xifeng
Zhao Qi	3rd son			Xia's prince. He is very loyal to the emperor and abides by the royal and Xia rules.
Zhao Che	7th son	14	22	Xia’s prince. The Emperor named him King. He became best friends with Zhuge Yue throughout his life and was the brother of Zhao Chun’er and Zhao Song. He was an accomplished war strategist and leader; he lived a tough life at the borders for many years, always at war with the empire. He disliked living in the Capital and disdained his royal family. Later, he became independent and the king of a state.
Zhao Jue	8th son	12	20	Xia’s prince
Zhao Song	13th son	11	18	Xia’s prince, age 11 in the year 770.  Age 18 in 778.  He fell in love with Chu Qiao during the eight years of Yan Xun’s house arrest—Brother of Zhao Chun’er and Zhao Che. When Yan Xun and Chu Qiao rebelled, he remained loyal to the royal family.
Zhao Chun or Chun’er	9th daughter	10	18	Her mother is an empress, and her real brother is Zhao Song and Zhao Che. Both grew up very protected and were very entitled and naïve. She was the only daughter of a long list of sons. Therefore, she was very spoiled. She fell in love with Yan Xun as a teenager and tried to marry him. She was raped and tried to take revenge several times, but ultimately died miserably.

ZHUGE FAMILY	XIA EMPIRE	Year 770 age	Year 778 age
Zhuge Huai	Third Young Master	14	22	Brother of Zhuge Yue. Known to be very cruel and loves killing slaves for fun and no reason. His close friend is Wei Jing.
Zhuge Hue	Fourth Young Master	13	21	Brother of Zhuge Huai. Genius strategist and powerful figure, he became Huang Army's Major General. Later, he rebelled against the Xia Empire and the Zhuge family and became king of the barbarians to the north, creating a kingdom free of slaves.
Old Master Zhuge Xi	Uncle, Elder			Uncle of Huai and Hue. He is a serial killer and a pervert who raped and killed hundreds of young female slaves still in puberty. Chu Qiao killed him and beheaded him.

 

WEI FAMILY	XIA EMPIRE	Year 770 age	Year 778 age
Wei Shuye or Ye Er	Prince of Wei	12	20	A kind character who was a friend of Yan Xun and fell in love with Chu Qiao at 14. He believes in justice and is naïve to think that aristocrats and peasants can coexist without violence. His family thinks otherwise, and he has no choice but to follow the Wei family's orders.
Wei Jing		12	20	Born to a concubine. He is a cruel character and killed hundreds of innocents. Chu Qiao cut 3 of his fingers when she tried to escape the city when she was 10. His close friend is Zhuge Huai.

 

MUHE FAMILY	XIA EMPIRE	Year 770 age	Year 778 age
Muhe Xifeng	Prince of Northwestern	17	25	He was defiant, cold, and cruel. He tried to kill Chu Qiao and boasted his war prowess, and raped Yan Xun’s sister (the only survivor of Yan Xun's family left in Yan Bai) in front of Yan Xun. Consequently, he was assassinated. Chu Qiao and Yan Xun used his death to frame Zhao Che and  Wei Jing. (Hunting event).
Muhe Qingyun or Zhalu		18	26	He tried to kill Chu Qiao.

MU FAMILY	XIA EMPIRE	Year 770 age	Year 778 age
Mu Yun		11	25	(hunting event). He does not play a big role.

  

IMPERIAL FAMILY	TANG EMPIRE	Year 778 age
Prince Li Ce	Prince Emperor	20	The only child of the Tang Emperor. Later, he became the emperor of the Tang Empire, with a large harem. He was a womanizer and a brilliant strategist, but he played the dumb, spoiled brat. He loved Chu Qiao and played a crucial role in her life, saving her several times. The Tang Empire became Chu Qiao's new home after she left Yan Bei and cut ties with Yan Xun. She was never aware of his love, only realizing it after his death. She adopted his two kids after the coup in the Tang Empire, but had to send the heir back so he could regain his inheritance.

 

YAN BAI EMPIRE
AhJing	Bodyguard	Close to Yan Xun.
He Xiao	Commander	Close to Chu Qiao. Commander of the Southwest Emissary’s Garrison, initially comprising 5,000 soldiers. Soldiers were ostracized from Yan Bei because they left Yan Bei and submitted to the Xia empire.  Chu Qiao saved him and his men from death after Yan Xun decided to sacrifice them during his rebellion. He Xiao became Chu Qiao's trusted aid, and she treated him like family. He followed her sporadically but reunited with her at the end. He loved her but knew it was not reciprocated. She treated him like a brother.
Feng Mian	Young page Mafia boss	Used to be the page boy who served as the messenger between Yan Xun and Chu Qiao in Zhen Huang City. He was able to escape despite his severe wounds. Following that incident, Yan Bei’s entire family was uprooted. With Yan Xun’s loss of influence, Feng Mian went through two horrible years. Only in the third year, after Yan Xun bribed the prison guards, could Feng Mian escape the endless darkness. Unable to stay in the royal capital, he headed south alone. After arriving in Xian Yang City, with the assistance of the Da Tong Guild and certain Yan Bei powers, he became one of the most prominent mafia bosses in Xian Yang within just six years.

 

YAN BAI DA TONG GUILD	The mission of the Da Tong guild was to uphold justice within the mainland, promote a united society, abolish slavery, and advocate equality.
Wu Daoya	Leader	He is in love with Lady Yu but prioritizes his mission. Yan Xun betrayed him out of jealousy because he was too popular in Yan Bai. He was too late to tell Lady Yu his feelings before she died.
Lady Yu	Secret agent	She loves Wu Daoya and decides to support him before her happiness. She committed suicide.

 

OTHER CHARACTERS
Lin Xi	Fifth brother of Jing Yue Er.	Volume 1: age 10. Brother of Jing Yue Er. He helped her during the first few days/weeks of her captivity and arrival in the new era. He was killed, along with his sisters (Zhi Xiang 10, Xiao Qi, Xiao Ba, and a few others not named), by Butler Zhu with the approval of Zhuge Yue. The Jing family was killed cruelly, and Chu Qiao swore to take revenge.
Butler Zhu or Zhu Shun.	Butler	Attendant of the Zhuge household business. He is cruel and kills many slaves. Chu Qiao will take revenge for killing her ‘siblings’
Lady Song	Matron	is in charge of the female slaves. Chu Qiao killed her because of her cruelty.
