Supreme God Emperor - V1C13
Chapter 13
Bullies
As dawn broke, the two opened the courtyard door and were taken aback by the sight that awaited them. They had expected the crowds outside to have dispersed overnight, but it was clear Mu Yun was mistaken. With a night of little sleep behind them, Qin Mengyao and Mu Yun appeared somewhat weary.
Faced with the multitude staring at them, Qin Mengyao felt a blush of embarrassment wash over her as thoughts of the previous night resurfaced. Yet, to the onlookers, her expression took on a different meaning.
Had Mu Yun failed?
“Yao Er... how are you?” Qin Shiyu sighed, noticing his granddaughter's tired appearance. “It’s alright if you didn’t succeed; this isn’t the first time…”
“Haha... I knew it! How could Mu Yun solve a problem even Master Mo couldn’t? He pretended to use the jasper spirit fruit—those worthless herbs couldn’t possibly cure the cold poison in Miss Qin’s body!” The Second Elder chuckled, unable to contain his glee.
He had waited all night just to witness Mu Yun’s embarrassment. Initially, he thought Mu Yun might have turned from a failure into a genius, but now it seemed he had overestimated him. A fool is a fool; Mu Yun was merely tricking Master Mo with some cleverness.
The Second Elder chimed in, “Master Mo, it seems you misjudged this one. If Mu Yun succeeds, I’ll gladly eat my feces!”
“Grandpa, you’ve got it all wrong. Mu Yun helped me indeed. He removed the cold poison from my body, and I feel fine now. Plus, there’s even a possibility of a breakthrough!”
Mu Yun looked at Qin Mengyao, who bowed her head and cupped her hands. "Qin Mengyao thanks Young Master Mu Yun for healing her," she said.
A collective “What?!” arose. Everyone present was stunned. Could it be true? Did Mu Yun actually overcome a challenge that even Master Mo couldn’t address?
Patriarch Qin Shiyu exclaimed with excitement, “Wonderful! Patriarch Mu, you have a remarkable son. The people of Beiyun City called him trash, but they clearly missed the mark!”
“Haha... Patriarch Qin, let’s go talk in the main hall! You must be exhausted. Let’s have some tea or soup,” Mu Linchen said, his face beaming with joy.
The Mu family was already quite displeased with him due to his affection for Mu Yun. However, Mu Yun’s recent actions over the past two days had truly taken him by surprise. Although he couldn't tell whether Mu Yun had been lying low for a while or whether there was another reason for the change, the improvement in Mu Yun's demeanor thrilled his adoptive father.
“Wait!” Mu Yun suddenly interjected at that moment.
Noticing the crowd was about to disperse, he called out, “Foster Father, Patriarch Qin, did you hear that someone just said something?”
What was said? The Second Elder tensed upon hearing Mu Yun's words.
“I recall someone mentioning that if I were to heal Miss Qin, he would gladly eat feces, isn’t that right, Second Elder?” Mu Yun’s piercing gaze locked onto the Second Elder like a hawk.
“Yun Er, don’t act foolish!” Mu Linchen realized that if he didn’t intervene, Mu Yun might actually force the Second Elder into a humiliating situation. With Master Mo present and clearly there to support Mu Yun, the Second Elder wouldn’t dare to oppose him.
“Forget it; some people talk rubbish. Father, I have some matters at the college to attend to. I’ll head there now!” As Mu Yun bid them farewell, most of the crowd had already left.
If the Second Elder truly carried out his plans, the entire Mu family would likely be thrown into chaos. As he watched Mu Yun walk away, Mu Linchen felt a mix of pride and bittersweet emotions.

Meanwhile, the Second Elder's expression was as dark as liver.
He hadn’t expected Mu Yun's behavior to change so dramatically in just a couple of days, nor could he believe he had managed to heal Qin Mengyao the night before. How could this supposedly useless person suddenly become so formidable? Even Mu Yuan was no match for him.
“Second Elder!” A voice, low and ominous, broke through the silence.
“Second Elder, Mu Yun has become quite powerful. In the future, he could pose the greatest threat to both Mu Lang and Mu Yuan. We must eliminate him swiftly!” the elder whispered conspiratorially.
“Of course, I understand, but this requires careful planning!” The Second Elder replied, his eyes glinting maliciously as he watched Mu Yun depart. “In Beiyun City, it won’t be easy, and we’ll need to leverage some power!”
Both elders exchanged knowing looks; their intentions were clear.

Since curing Qin Mengyao, Mu Yun was in high spirits and had reached the fourth level of the physical enhancement realm. Influenced by Qin Mengyao's Ice Phoenix spirit the previous night, Mu Yun was astonished to find that he had begun to generate a trace of energy within his body.
The five-fold condensing state of the physical body involves generating qi energy in the meridians. The concept of qi was to use softness to overcome hardness, exerting a force equivalent to a thousand catties in half the time. The power of qi was more mysterious than mere physical strength. However, Mu Yun understood that his body had just undergone the transformation through the Bone Tempering Pill, and too rapid an advancement might lead to future complications.
At Beiyun College, Mu Yun had always felt resistance whenever he walked through the gates. However, today felt different, and with a light step, he strolled through the campus with ease.
Suddenly, a stir drew his attention—a group of people had gathered near a small grove. A teenager in elaborate attire raised his fist and struck another teenager, who was half-kneeling on the ground. The latter, clad in sackcloth, appeared frail, his cheeks swollen and unappealing.
Although Beiyun College was established by the royal family in Beiyun City, its student body comprised both wealthy and less privileged youths, leading to frequent student conflicts. Considering his position, Mu Yun decided to walk past the scene, feeling no inclination to involve himself in their trivial squabble.
“Bah! Qi Ming, your father is a gambler, your mother is a prostitute, and you’re the most wretched untouchable. Remember this—I expect you to steer clear whenever you see me!”
The name Qi Ming made Mu Yun pause. "Damn, that's my student!" he thought. He remembered Qi Ming, a student he had taught who came from a disadvantaged background but earned his place at Beiyun College through hard work. Mu Yun had always seen Qi Ming as kind-hearted. Unfortunately, it was often those kind-hearted individuals who were targeted by bullies—especially in groups, where the bullies felt confident that there would be no retaliation. Cowards!
“Diao Yun, don’t push your luck!” Qi Ming, pinned to the ground by several others, retorted fiercely, “If you have the guts, fight me one on one!”
“One on one? Ha!” Diao Yun laughed at Qi Ming’s challenge. “You truly are foolish. Your instructor, Mu Yun, is a clown, and all his students are laughingstocks for being in his class. I have people to handle you; why should I fight you alone?”
This conversation struck a nerve with Mu Yun—how dare Diao Yun insult him and his students?
“Stop!” As Diao Yun prepared to escalate the conflict, Mu Yun stepped forward to confront the group. “Fighting privately is strictly against school rules, Diao Yun. Aren't you aware of that?”
Diao Yun froze at the sound of Mu Yun’s voice, then grinned mockingly upon seeing him. “Teacher Mu?”
Qi Ming was equally surprised by Mu Yun’s sudden appearance. Although he had faced bullying in the past, he had always seen Mu Yun retreat. This time, however, Mu Yun had the courage to intervene, leaving Qi Ming stunned.
“Who did I think it was? Just a fool from the Mu family!” Diao Yun scoffed, brushing aside Mu Yun’s presence. “Since you’re with the Mu family, I won’t lay a finger on you today; just get lost!” Diao Yun clearly recognized Mu Yun as the illegitimate son, viewing him as weak and inconsequential. However, the simmering anger within Mu Yun, rooted in his past life as the Supreme Immortal King, surged at such belittlement.
“Get lost?” Mu Yun scoffed. “Diao Yun, no one is above the rules. You can’t insult your classmates and disrespect your elders. Also I am not a pastoral teacher, I will take it upon myself to teach you a lesson today!”
Qi Ming shook his head in resignation, wondering what had come over Mu Yun. In the past, while he did step in occasionally, Mu Yun had grown more subdued following the students' mockery. Why was he acting out now?
A pastoral teacher was recognized, and his responsibilities included students' overall character development, not just their academic learning.
“Ha ha...” Diao Yun laughed at Mu Yun's words, mocking him. “Big idiot Mu, are you losing your mind today?” He pointed scornfully at Mu Yun. “You’re just trash. I’m addressing you as a ‘teacher’ out of pity. Just move aside and don’t think the Master Shepherd’s protection makes you untouchable... Ah!”
Before he could finish, Diao Yun felt a sharp pain as Mu Yun grabbed his arm with a vice-like grip.
“Call me another ‘big idiot,’ and I’ll break your arm!”
"Mu Yun, you scoundrel, let me go—hurry up! You worthless piece of trash! If you dare to touch me, the Diao family will make you pay for it!"
Unexpectedly, Mu Yun caused a stir. Diao Yun was caught off guard as Mu Yun grabbed his arm, and he couldn’t believe that Mu Yun had the audacity to confront him. He was the son of a prominent member of the Diao family, and at just fifteen years old, he had already reached the triple muscular stage of physical cultivation, boasting the strength of six oxen—far superior to the average triple warrior.
Mu Yun was merely the eldest son of the Mu family, considered useless and inferior in comparison. Diao Yun never thought Mu Yun would actually dare to act against him! For years, Mu Yun has been like a punching bag—mocked by his teachers and bullied by his peers, never standing up for himself. Yet, here he was, not only standing his ground but also daring to challenge Diao Yun.
To Diao Yun's astonishment, as he faced Mu Yun, he felt as weak as a helpless lamb despite his formidable strength.
"Looks like you thought I was joking! First one!"
With a snap, Mu Yun's voice broke the tension, and in an instant, Diao Yun’s expression turned pale, the sound of his pain echoing through the woods.
"Mu Yun, you scumbag, owwww..."
Anger surged as Diao Yun felt a finger snap painfully. "The second one!"
Mu Yun, unflinching, broke another finger with a simple click.
"Mu Yun..."
"Third one!"
"Ah! Mu... Teacher Mu... I was wrong, I was wrong!" Diao Yun couldn’t endure the pain any longer after breaking three fingers.
"Your apologies to me mean nothing—tell him!" Mu Yun pointed at the stunned Qi Ming and said calmly, "Remember, I’m his protector now. If you lay a finger on him, I will make sure you suffer for it!"
At that moment, Diao Yun instinctively covered himself, panic evident on his face. "I’m sorry, Qi Ming, I... I won’t do it again!" he mumbled, looking defeated.
“No... nothing!” Qi Ming was still in shock, unable to comprehend how Mu Yun had managed to overpower Diao Yun.
Diao Yun, who was in peak physical condition, had just been bested by Mu Yun, someone he had always deemed powerless.
For some reason, Qi Ming sensed that Mu Yun had transformed drastically since their last class.
"Quit staring, you fools! Get back to class!" Mu Yun joked with a smile, feeling a surge of inner strength as he made his way through the academy.
Embracing a fresh start, Mu Yun was resolved to learn from his past mistakes. He promised himself not to let hatred control him, choosing instead to live with freedom and gratitude.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
Outside the grove, Diao Yun stood seething, his broken fingers hanging limply.
"This isn’t over!" he snarled as he watched Mu Yun head toward the teaching building.
“What are you planning, Diao Yun? Remember, no matter how you look at it, Mu Yun is still from the shepherd family—don’t go too far!” cautioned one of his classmates.
“Shepherd? He’s beneath a dog from that family. I can’t just let this go! Soon, you’ll help me set things up, got it?”
“Set things up?”
“Exactly!” Diao Yun grinned. “In all of Beiyun Academy, there’s one person everyone truly fears. When that guy shows up, it’ll be like cat and mouse—Mu Yun will be begging on his knees!”
“Are you talking about Tutor Jin Dong?” one of the group suddenly figured out.
“Who else could it be?” Diao Yun sneered.
"Mu Yun, you've sealed your fate. If you provoke me, you'll thoroughly regret it!"
