Chapter 11: The Hug
Meanwhile, in the classroom, Fu Jiu murmured, “K.O.” with her
lips slightly parted. She gave a subtle smile, stretched her wrist, then put
her textbook aside, resuming her role as an average high school student.
Unbeknownst to her classmates, she has just outwitted a professional hacker!
During the third period, Fu Jiu found herself contemplating her lunch options when the school announcement system crackled with an excited voice. “Everyone, to gather talent, your senior Qin Mo will be visiting our school on behalf of Qin Corporation…”
Before the announcer can finish, the room erupts with screams from the students: “Ahhh!”
Qin Mo was widely recognized as a privileged son, born into a prominent family with influence across three provinces. He led the gaming industry while keeping a low profile, often seen with his gaming team or at the family company. He was usually mysterious and wouldn't show his face, even at school.
For most, the opportunity to meet Young Master Qin seemed like a distant dream, and fans often competed for a chance to see him at major gaming tournaments. And now he was coming to the school? The excitement was palpable, and the students at No. 1 Middle School were buzzing!
Meanwhile, Fu Jiu remains seated, stretching in her chair as she muses, It seems we won’t have classes this afternoon. I’ll have time for a couple more rounds of gaming to earn another 500 CNY[i].

To prepare for Qin Mo's visit, the school grounds, shaded by trees, were
quickly and meticulously cleaned, and the administration donned suits for
the occasion. After an hour, three or four military-style Hummer vehicles
arrived, sleek and black, exuding understated luxury.
“Ahhh!” The excitement crescendos as students swarm toward the arrival like bees drawn to nectar. Bodyguards in black line up, maintaining order and keeping the crowd at a distance. The students were standing on their toes, eager to catch a glimpse of the revered figure.
In contrast, Fu Jiu remained indifferent in the midst of the throng. Initially, she hoped to remain in class and earn money unbothered while the school administrators greeted their special guest. However, she quickly learned that the entire student body had been mandated to gather.
Young Master Qin's family influence greatly exceeded that of the Fu family. He was raised in a military compound; his grandfather was a founding figure of the nation. Despite Jiang City’s No. 1 Middle School having many wealthy students,
Huo Siyu, a well-known bully, consistently viewed Fu Jiu as a naive outsider unworthy of the school. Her disdain for Fu Jiu intensified after a recent clash where she felt humiliated.
Determined to make Fu Jiu look foolish in front of everyone, Huo Siyu scanned the area until she spotted Fu Jiu, engrossed in her cellphone. Seizing the opportunity, she stealthily stepped back and, when no one was watching, pushed Fu Jiu forward with force.
Caught off guard, Fu Jiu—lost in thought about what parts to buy later—toppled forward and crashed directly into someone’s arms.
Everything happened so quickly that the bodyguards in black didn’t manage to react. Qin Mo only felt something crash into his arms. Taking a step back, he lowered his ink-black eyes.
"CEO Qin!" The secretary shouted behind Qin Mo, sweat beading on his forehead. He tried to pull his boss away, but it was too late. As Fu Jiu lost her balance, she sharply narrowed her eyes. Before she could react further, everything suddenly went silent. Was she hallucinating? Why did she feel a chill at the back of her neck? Yet, she sensed warmth beneath her palm — stiff but pleasantly tactile. Fu Jiu moved her hand a few times, causing all the school heads to turn pale with fear.
"Fu Jiu!" The guidance director intended to grab him and throw him away. He never anticipated this troublemaker would appear in such a way. Didn’t he instruct everyone to keep him at bay?
Listening to the muffled shouts, Huo Siyu giggled with delight. Fu Jiu was definitely finished!
"Fu Jiu? Isn’t he the one who couldn’t get off Young Master Qin’s case last time?"
"Wow, he’s really tenacious. Doesn’t he fear being taken down by Young Master Qin?"
"He must be out of his mind. Men can be just as shocking when they become infatuated."
Amidst the buzzing conversations, the person most eager to hide his face was Chen Xiaodong. He never imagined the scenario he feared most would play out right in front of everyone. He thought his young master had changed in recent days, but he didn’t realize those were merely tactics to lower his guard. He regretted not associating with Class D; if Young Master had lost his mind and encountered Young Master Qin, at least he could have clung to his leg!
