Chapter 25: Let’s Have a Gay Meeting!?

Meanwhile, Qin Mo was sitting in the company office during an overseas market conference. The company specialized in online games, so having a computer switched on was common practice.

Suddenly, the atmosphere in the conference room fell into a chilling silence as a "ding" echoed. That man, seated in the middle like a king, tilted his head, and a glint swept across his deep eyes. He raised his hand, signaling that the meeting was interrupted for the time being. This gesture shocked all the higher-ups in the room. Even the secretary found it unbelievable. CEO Qin had never stopped a meeting for anything or anyone before; why would he do so for a game? Nevertheless, everyone watched helplessly as the striking man left the conference room, holding his laptop in one hand.

"What the hell?" one person whispered.

"What the heck?" another replied, murmuring in confusion.

As Qin Mo leaned against the wall, he glanced at the only name in his friend list—Spade Z. His long, slender fingers hesitated briefly before he began typing, *Not really.*

Fu Jiu read those two cold words along with his character avatar. Laughing lightly with a lollipop in her mouth, she sat back in her chair and replied lazily, *Almighty Qin, if you keep being dishonest, you'll have a tough time finding a girlfriend.*

Qin Mo felt a surge of frustration. His eyes darkened further, but a faint smile curled his thin lips as he typed another message, *You really like lollipops, huh? Chocolate flavor?*

Fu Jiu stiffened at the screen. If she hadn't been in her room, she might have thought someone had planted a camera there. But then she realized there was no way he could know who she was. If he did, he would have called her by name long ago instead of making casual conversation about her lollipops. This man... he was not just alluring; he was realistically cunning! But how did he find out that she loved lollipops? Was it from that day on the rooftop?

A flash of understanding crossed Fu Jiu's eyes, and she chuckled softly. *Seems like I need to be more careful next time. Almighty Qin is truly exceptional.*

Since he was so challenging to deal with, and since she was joining the Qin Corporation anyway, she decided to take the initiative.

*You see, you’ve been sniffing my tail for so many days that even dogs would have formed a bond by now,* Fu Jiu continued typing. *The weather has been really nice recently, and I believe Almighty Qin already knows I'm in Jiang City. How about we have a little gay meeting[i] tomorrow?*

Qin Mo stared at his pure silver notebook computer, pondering the various responses Spade Z might give—either a denial or an evasion. But he never expected in a million years that Spade Z would ask him to meet up.

Qin Mo's gaze deepened as he paused for a moment before responding. Fu Jiu wasn't in any rush; she sat in her chair, tapping her chin lightly with her fingertip while looking at the chat box. After about five seconds, a message finally appeared.

*Sure* Qin Mo typed.

Fu Jiu planned to ask about the details—such as where, when, and how to contact him—but before she could, he interrupted her. *I'm still in a meeting; let's discuss the details later.*

His tone was cold and authoritative, lacking any warmth. Yet, he had taken the time to respond to her during a meeting. She couldn't help but think that the Almighty really paid attention to her.

Fu Jiu smiled playfully. *Awesome, I am very excited for this first date...*

Qin Mo stared for a few seconds at that last comment
 and closed his laptop.

His secretary, who stood behind him, wore a look of shock. Did he just see a smile on CEO Qin's face? When Qin Mo returned to the meeting room, the atmosphere shifted; all the higher-ups fell silent. But what had the CEO done during those ten minutes away? Curiosity buzzed in the room. It almost seemed as if he had been playing games, which raised eyebrows—when had games become so appealing in the middle of a meeting?

Ignoring their stares, Qin Mo walked over to his expensive genuine leather armchair, crossing his legs slightly.

His authoritative presence was imposing. "Go on," he instructed. Instantly, the management team refocused their attention.

"CEO Qin, according to this season's gaming report, there are fifty companies across the city..." The murmurs in the meeting room faded into silence.

[i] Gay Meetup" in Chinese is "Mian Ji," which refers to two male friends meeting up in a manner that might suggest they are romantically interested in each other.
