Chapter 37: The Bill...

After finishing the last lobster, Fu Jiu decided it was time to leave. She went to thank Almighty Qin, saying, "Thank you for the lobsters. See you later." She heard a faint laugh from Qin Mo.

"Are you done eating?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm done," Fu Jiu replied with a nod, feeling in a good mood. Almighty Qin had learned to socialize, proving that their gay meetup had actually worked.

Qin Mo smiled as he looked at the relaxed Fu Jiu. A glint of cold light flashed in his eyes as he raised his hand, prompting the waiter to immediately bring over the menu. Qin Mo looked at the waiter and said, "Get the bill."

The waiter looked confused. After all, the CEO never needed to pay when eating here. Coco and Fatty shared in the confusion. But then they heard their CEO add slowly, "Give it to your Lord Jiu; it's on him today."

Coco: "..."

Fatty: "..."

Fu Jiu: "..."

Even the waiter was taken aback. Fu Jiu was the first to react. Her eye, which had been about to flirt with Qin Mo, twitched a little. Since when did this meal become her treat?! Wasn't this hotel named "Qin"?

"Almighty, I remember that this is your family's hotel.  You selected this place. Are you sure you want me to pay the bill?" she inquired, raising an eyebrow. Where were his manners? Even Coco and Fatty felt embarrassed, as the CEO never asked anyone to treat him to a meal, especially in his own hotel. The nearby waiters exchanged glances but remained quiet.

Qin Mo looked into Fu Jiu's beautiful, cherry blossom-colored eyes and replied nonchalantly, "This is how I treat my close friends."

Fu Jiu was taken aback. This man was doing this on purpose, using her own words to tease her. She playfully blew into his ear, and now he was getting back at her? She only had 5000 yuan, which she had earned from playing games, just enough for five lobsters. The gay meetup handbook was complete nonsense! Almighty Qin, if you keep this up with your revenge tactics, you won’t be able to make any gay friends, let alone marry a girlfriend!

"What? You don't want to treat me to dinner?" Qin Mo asked, picking up the teacup but not taking a sip. His eyes sparkled faintly through the smoke from his cigarette. "Didn't you say that we were close?"

Fu Jiu leaned back and retorted firmly, "It's not that I don't want to; I just don't have that much money."

"No money? You?" Coco exclaimed, his tone incredulous. "How is that possible?"

Fu Jiu chuckled, "Why wouldn’t it be? Someone thought I was a disgrace to the family and was afraid to offend Young Master Qin, so he excluded me from the Fu family. You know about that, right?"

Coco nodded, aware of the situation. After all, they had a small business relationship with the Fu family. It was quite shocking news. His father had even said that, regardless of Fu Jiu's disgrace, he shouldn't have cared for someone he deemed an outsider, going so far as to cut off financial support for Fu Jiu and his mother. The three were even more shameless, stealing their contestants at this critical moment to undermine He Honghua.

Coco fell silent, unsure of what to say. He turned to his CEO for guidance, but Qin Mo remained silent.

Fu Jiu spoke again, leaning her hand on the back of the CEO's chair and getting very close to him as she flirtatiously suggested, "Almighty Qin, how about I pay with myself?"

At that very moment, the temperature in the room dropped by several degrees. The waiters all stared in shock, their fingers stiff with disbelief. Someone had actually dared to confront the CEO! And what had he just said? "Pay with my body?!" Everyone hoped it wasn't what they thought. But looking at Young Master Fu's demeanor, it seemed he had truly said that to the CEO. It was hard for their minds not to jump to that conclusion, especially with those delicate pink lips hovering just an inch away from the CEO's ear. They were so close that a kiss seemed imminent. The CEO's usual cold temperament had noticeably cooled. Yet Young Master Fu remained oblivious, the tear-shaped mole under his eye glimmering enticingly.

"What? You don’t want me to pay with my body? Then allow me to kiss you!" Fu Jiu said boldly as he moved to act.

Suddenly, Qin Mo's gaze turned icy. He reached out, gripping Fu Jiu's wrist and pinning him against the table. His expression was one of impatience, as if he wished he could strangle Fu Jiu right then and there. Instead, he seized Fu Jiu's wallet from the pocket of his school uniform and tossed it to a nearby waiter.

His voice was cold, like ice in the snow. "Swipe all the cards clean."

"Yes, Sir," the waiter replied. At that moment, none of the waiters dared to disobey Qin Mo’s orders. It was clear the usually cold and indifferent CEO was about to have his reputation twisted by Fu Jiu's flirtation.

Fu Jiu wanted to keep some of his money, so he attempted to negotiate with Qin Mo. "Do you mind leaving me a thousand yuan for living expenses?"

Qin Mo ignored Fu Jiu entirely, pressing him back down once more. He looked down at Fu Jiu, forcing himself not to crush his wrist. Surprisingly, he noticed that this flirtatious young man was actually behaving. Qin Mo maintained his grip and regarded him with a smile, feeling faint, warm breaths brushing against his hand.

For reasons he couldn't quite comprehend, Qin Mo thought again that Fu Jiu resembled his cat. Even the boy's hair felt soft, brushing against his palm. To those unaware of the situation, it looked as though Qin Mo was simply being playful. In reality, he was only pretending; he needed Fu Jiu to stop being so flirtatious. Where had he learned to flirt with everyone he encountered?

Qin Mo knew he wasn’t being entirely honest with himself; he just couldn’t admit how captivated he was by this young man from the moment they first connected. He vehemently dismissed the idea that he was developing an obsession. The fact that this was happening for the first time in his life frustrated him deeply.
